I am still waiting for the cotton harvest work to start. I rang the contractor today and he said the Cotton is still a bit green and to ring him again next week. So I'm setting up camp.

I visited Mum & Dad on the coast and stayed for about 10 day’s.
I left there on Monday 12th and took my time getting here to Moree.

Pig hunting

A mate of mine invited me to go pig hunting with him and his other mate, we took 6 dogs with us.
I had been asking my mate if I could go along with them when they go hunting to get some video footage for some time, so it was good for me to finally get some footage.
The below youtube video is a bit shaky , maybe I will get better next time.

ArmorAll Bathurst 12 hour

I went to the ArmorAll Bathurst 12 hour race at Mt Panorama last week end(12th-14th Feb).
It rained a lot over the three days I was there, although I was able to take a lot of still photo's and some video footage.
The only camping at the track was behind the pit area, which was good because the drivers and cars of the support categories were also camped there.
I arrived on the Thursday but there was no practice on that day so I visited the Australian Motor Racing Museum.

Well today I became bored after sittin 'round for 3 day's due to the rain, although we needed it. So I went for drive to Collarenebri to check out the Barwon R., see if it is flooding yet, it wasn't.

Driving out there listening to 2WEB AM 585 on the radio I learned that the Barwon may flood north of Collarenebri in the next few days, so I might go out there again in a few days time with my camera & camcorder.
On the way back I saw a Wedgy (Wedged Tail Eagle)

, I need a bigger lens because I couldn't get close enough before it took off,



it was feeding on roadkill (Emu I think).

G'day,
Well today here on the farm things went ok, we got a few things done before it got too hot. They said it got to 41C in Moree. I spent a few hours here in front of the air conditioner, it's still warm outside this evening.
I linked a couple of my other sites, Flikr (slideshow), and I was able to embed a video that is on my youtube channel into my previous post on here.
A friend invited me to go fishing/camping Saturday night just gone,


I had a great time, learned a few things about freshwater fishing.
We didn't catch much, except this Turtle (or is it a Tortoise?),

it went back into the water
And some Carp which we left on the bank.
My mate caught some yellow belly but they were a bit small so they went straight back in.
I'm still trying to understand blogger and what I can do and not do with (or to) this blog.

Not much happened today at work worth writing about, but after work I took some video footage of some harvesting that is happening near where I live. I've yet to down load it, then it will need editing before I can show it on my Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/dgls57 and maybe on here.
I worked on the grain harvest in '05, I drove a tractor towing a 25ton bin (chaser or haul-out bin), so it was good for me to watch this afternoon. I could probably have done some harvest work this year because my boss said there is not a lot of work until the irrigation starts. But I also need time to myself a bit.
I've accepted an invitation to attend a dinner with some of the Jesus racing supporters in Sydney next month at Homebush bay, to do with the V8 Supercar event (Sydney 500) on the first weekend of Dec. So I will take my camera & camcorder.
